  •      ESD is a new technique developed in Japan to remove lesions inside the stomach without making a scar. Dr John Rodriguez, MD, General Surgeon at Cleveland Clinic, is using it and his patients are benefitting.
  •      Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago is using a new form of acupuncture that includes heating the needles. Dr Larissa Bresler, MD, DABMA, at Loyola says the results will be published next year but the patient’s pelvic pain is so much less that she can do yoga now and she is thrilled.
  •      A pillow is allowing doctors to monitor patients in real time and intervene quickly if their congestive heart failure gets worse. Dr Michael Mathier, MD, Cardiologist at UPMC in Pittsburgh,is using the CardioMems system and says there is a definite decrease in the number of times a patient has to be admitted to the hospital.
