The Office of National Drug Control Policy is hosting a webinar, Innovative Practices in Medication-Assisted Treatment and Primary Care Coordination, which will showcase two approaches to care that provide medication-assisted treatment and integrate the treatment of substance use disorders with primary care.
Johns Hopkins Collaborative Opioid Prescribing Program
This opioid treatment program (OTP) provides psychosocial support and stepped care to patients, and uses OTPs as hubs of expert consultation to encourage office-based opioid treatment providers to prescribe buprenorphine.
Rhode Island OTP Home Health Initiative
This health home model is a statewide collaborative that enhances the coordination of physical care and treatment for opioid dependence through a patient-centered medical home approach through direct provision of health services or through contractual or collaborative arrangements with community service providers.
