November is Native American Heritage Month

The term “Native American” includes both American Indians and Alaska Natives. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, together they form a population of 5.4 million people.

This time of year serves as an especially good opportunity to celebrate the many cultural and historical contributions of more than 500 federally recognized Native American tribes throughout the United States.
